Installation Notes
Prior to using the plugins on a fresh Windows 10 installation, you may need to install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 (VC++ 12.0) that can be found at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
No UI in FL Studio 20. I downloaded my files from KVR BTW.

Thanks for letting me know. It was a confirmed bug. I’ve uploaded the fixed version, it should work now (tested with Cakewalk 2019 64-bit).

It would be a good idea to provide mirrors on less problematic hosting places.

Hi!
I’m learning to develop plugins. Is there any way to get the source code of the plugins? They sound great!

Hi, currently no. Though, I plan to release the source code of the GUI-less versions sometime in the future. So, stay tuned π

Do not work on FL Studio, so sad. My system: Ryzen 3700X, Win 10 1909.

As far as I was told by other FL users, they should work with FL Studio. Do they show up? Can you load them? Is there another kind of problem? I don’t have access to FL Studio, so I just go with Google π

Please try the following:
1) with FL studio not running, uninstall all Signal Noise plug-ins (just delete the dlls from their respective locations)
2) open FL studio and do a plug-in rescan, then close FL studio
3) copy only the x64 files that have G in their filename to 64-bit location for effects
4) open FL studio and rescan plug-ins once again
If this does not work, try setting the plug-ins manually to type effect in FL’s plugin manager. Eventually, do steps 1) and 2) and then install the 64-bit versions (x64) without GUI (they have no G in file name). Do it one file at a time and see if they load and pass the verification (VU meter has no GUI-less version). If all of this fails, you may also try to install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 (VC++ 12.0) that can be found at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads and see if it solves the problem (though I, personally, doubt that that could be the culprit).
Well, for now that’s all I could come up with.

Hi, the comp is very smooth on vocals. Well done! I tried the limiter as well but it seems to induce quite a bit of distortion when you hit it with medium to hard gain reduction, somewhat better with the release backed all the way off, but still a lot of audible distortion. Used in Reaper 6.02

Well, from what I can tell, with ceiling at -1dBFS, you should be able to push it for 5-6dB of GR in one go pretty transparently. Then it starts to get noticeable (compressed “smack” for a lack of better word), and from ca 9-10dB of GR it audibly distorts. Also longer release times pronounce that “smack” (like a compressor would do, too). At least that’s my experience. Anyway, it’s something I’m mulling over as I would like to make it a bit more transparent at least up to 9-10dB. But I don’t want to use oversampling to smudge the distortion, so I first have to come up with some other way π Thanks for feedback π

Hi, Sender Spike …. Congratulations again. As I told you in the KVR forum, I am Homework, and I cannot leave my astonishment at this wonderful work you are doing and the dignity of sharing it with everyone. It is curious that many plugins do not work well depending on the DAW and operating system. However, I still use my old one? WIN XP Pro 32 bits with Emagic Logic 5.5.1 Audio Platinum and Adobe Audition 6 Extended and all your plugins, SN01G / 02G / 03G / 04G / 05G are working absolutely “perfect”, both in the DAW as a channel or bus, as in post-production, mastering, etc ….. Yes! in Win XP. I am a composer, sound technician, both in studio and live, I play guitar, piano, but I am a drummer. Of course, I know what I say.
Your plugins far exceed other developers, very good too, and other payment that are not what they claim to be.
Seriously. Again, huge congratulations.

Hi Homework, I remember your posts. You may say that I was quite surprised to read that Signal Noise plugins work on Win XP (there were other people too who reported the same) as they are targeted at Win 7 and above. On the other hand, and just to put things in perspective, there were people who had problems with my plugins and FL Studio, Digital Performer, or Reaper on Win 7 and 10. As for sound/utility – I would be lying if I would say that I’m not aware of their, dare I say, quality. Well, maybe it has to do with the fact that I would not release a plugin I would not use myself. In fact all my releases up to this date replaced (for different reasons) a bunch of other (great) plugins I was using. But, I suspect, the most important part is the fact that I don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Which brought another big surprise – to paraphrase R. Bristow-Johnson in context of digital prototypes of analog filters, “these problems were already solved decades ago, math even longer”. And indeed, I went with time-tested designs both in technology/engineering, and also UX. They are so simple yet so elegant, and when I first heard them I was like, “Why do all these developers hide this sound from me?” Well, I have my theory why that is the case, but I won’t bore you with it π What can I say, those people in credits sections of manuals are the real heroes in my book. Then again, e.g. Limiter is sound-wise still a work in progress – I have some things I want to try with it and hear for myself if it improves the sound.
Anyway, thank you very much. It means a lot π

I really like your compressor. I haven’t had a chance yet to check out your other plugins but I want to say thank you for such a generous and quality product. The tone on the VCA is nice….just nice. It has some of the same quality I see in TDR plugs. I can’t wait to try out the Limiter. Thanks again.

Ah, so a HPF. Hm, limited sidechain filtering in SN01 is something that pops up now and again. Well, I’d like to keep SN01 sidechain as it is (it’s basically taken straight from API2500). But — now that I have fairly solid grasp at EQs (SN04 π ), the prospect of another compressor with full-fledged SC filtering is not that unlikely (and I still didn’t tackle opto-comps, etc.). Currently, I’m contemplating where to go next … so, no promises, but stay tuned π

Hi, SS! Just a shoutout to thank you for these freebies again. Thx too for leaving the song I did posted, LOL, (“Boxhead”). That was extremely generous and patient of you, Bahaha!
I was saying awhile back that the updates wouldn’t “take”. Well, duh, I kind of neglected to check my SWs box which said “overwrite all files”. I’m a computer geniusNOT.
Here’s where I feel like an ass for rubber-gloving a gift horse, but since I’m a dummy, I sort of wish there were presets for the channel strip. And how cool, that I can mix n match the 3 bands toward my side or your side of the pond, depending on my brand of musical perversion at the moment. Your channel strip and one other that I’m partial to are the only 1s I use anymore, and I have a slew of Waves’ and other things.
Okay, I’ll finally shuddup now. :O
Greetings from Texas!

Thanks. I’ll be honest with you–I’m neither generous nor patient. Quite to the contrary. But I really dig your music. As I said, it’s right up my alley–I’m a big fan of Sonic Youth, Sebadoh, Black Flag, and the like. What I hear on your YT channel is right up there. And the fact that you used my tape sim on “Boxhead” flatters me. It’s simple as that. As for EQ presets–what’s your exact idea? I use DAW’s default “Save preset” feature. In my case it’s Cubase, so it’s fxb. I also finally installed and checked Reaper (that’s what you use, or?) and I saw that it has the same functionality (saving presets as fxb, plus some other format–didn’t try it just lurked through those options in the ‘+’ menu in FX rack). I didn’t implement custom presets because I honestly didn’t know what kind of presets would be useful (it’s also slightly PITA to manage). So, I left it at that. HW does not come with preset either, after all. Anyway, depending on what you need/imagine, if it’s something that I’m able to do, I see no problem in making it a reality.

Hi mate, these are awesome plugins, you are very very generous. If I could bother you with one request: Have a 1 single download for all the plugins? Reason: That way I won’t have to download 6 plugins and unzip each one to update them all. Thanks for your attention.

Dear Sender Spike,
We are high school music teachers from the Netherlands and we are creating a project in which our students are learning the basics of music production. Would really like to use your plugins. In order to do so we would like to hand them over to our students directly, though. We have created an installer for them that allows them to get what they need for the project in one go. This would save us from a lot of trouble and lost learning time in class. We will, of course, credit you and link to your website. Are we allowed to do that?
Kind regards,
Robin and Harold
